HTC will unveil its next flagship smartphone, the successor to its HTC One, on March 25.
Invitations are being sent out, and a company representative confirmed the event to CNET. As with last year's event, it will be held in New York and London, with New York designated as the main site.

There's a lot riding on the successor to the HTC One, codenamed M8, with the company's profits and sales continuing to fall. While the HTC One was well regarded and won critical praise for its all-metal design, it got overshadowed by the marketing blitz of Samsung's Galaxy S4.
HTC will have to work hard to avoid repeating history. While HTC debuted the HTC One ahead of Mobile World Congress last year, it is now opting to unveil its successor flagship phone after the event, which will see the unveiling of Samsung's Galaxy S5.

The early leaks of the next HTC One shows a phone with only minor tweaks and refinement to the previous design, as well as changes to the software.
HTC will be at Mobile World Congress next week, and CNET will be on hand to get a sense of how the company will handle its launch differently from last year, as well as delve more deeply into its plans to expand into lower-end products.
